II. Hefei Promotes the “Clean Vegetables to Market” Initiative
This year, Hefei City will vigorously promote the “clean produce to market” initiative and enhance the management and control standards for food operations in large and medium-sized supermarkets throughout the city.
The so-called “clean vegetables on the market” refer to vegetables sold in vegetable markets that are free of pesticide residues, have stems and leaves without roots, no withered or yellowed leaves, no dirt or sand, and no extraneous debris. This not only signifies cleanliness and safety but will also significantly reduce urban household waste.
In addition to the industry leaders, the government has also gained a new understanding of the clean vegetable sector. It seems that the future development prospects are quite promising.
Although clean vegetable processing is currently a blue ocean market, it’s still important to pay attention to the following two major issues—after all, some entrepreneurs have already run into trouble in this field.
